Downtown Branding, Event Alignment

Downtown Branding, Event Alignment

An important element of developing a community brand is making sure that the various events and programs are all easily identifiable as initiatives of the lead organization. Aligning the identities of the various events is an integral part of the branding process. Developing a logo and a brand style helps coordinate those events. The development of a brand manual helps future activities support the...
Town of Fuquay-Varina

Town of Fuquay-Varina

The Town of Fuquay-Varina found itself in a position many small but growing towns deal with. Little had been done to market the town or build a brand. The logo the town was using was dated and, outside of the town limits, had little meaning. But they were not ready to engage in a branding initiative. They needed a solution that would allow them to be more polished and support initial forays into marketing the community. The goals was to create an identity that could support the town while they found their direction and prepared to engage in a full-on branding project. Amico Brand Design worked with the town’s public information officer to create a logo that would work on the website and in town-produced publications. The logo focuses on a point of distinction for the town–it’s name. The graceful font highlights the name. The color green was retained from the former logo. The buildings above the town represent some of the architectrual features of the historic downtowns without representing any one building exactly. The result is a solid, polished...
Celebrate Fuquay-Varina!

Celebrate Fuquay-Varina!

There’s a lot to celebrate in this growing southern town. The people are incredibly friendly. They are unusually committed to supporting the huge variety of non-profit initiatives in the community. The town has a lively arts community, a thriving craft beer industry, a variety of traditional and ethnic restaurants and a unique retail mix. All that and an excellent park system and active parks and recreation department make this an ideal town for active people of any age or background. Civic and town leaders have come together to create a variety of festivals and events that allow residents to mingle and remember why they choose to live in Fuquay-Varina. Amico Brand Design worked with the town manager and public information officer to rebrand a festival formerly known as Celebration of the Outdoors. The intention of the revised celebration was to recognize the town’s distinctive name and two historic downtowns. The logo was designed to highlight the festival atmosphere, be optimistic and celebratory and to support the new brand of the town.  The logo is dynamic, friendly and positive, just like the...
Growers Market

Growers Market

A new logo and marketing materials led to increased interest from local vendors, an enthusiastic response from prospective sponsors and helped create a vibrant new attraction in downtown...
Angier, North Carolina, Phase 1

Angier, North Carolina, Phase 1

Angier, North Carolina This is Angier! Amico Brand Design has been working with the Town of Angier for several years, working at the pace that is right for the community. The community has some lovely, unrecognized assets. In phase one, an asset inventory was completed. An informal economic development advisory committee was formed. A visible project to attract and engage the community was identified (working on the town square.) Attractive economic development collateral was developed to be used as the town identified its path to a brand. A Leadership Angier class was developed to help identify community leaders. In a second phase, meetings were set up with town commissioners to help identify priorities and to identify a process to engage with residents. A bus trip through the community helped identify strengths and weaknesses, followed by an exercise to help  the commissioners prioritize tasks in an action plan. In a third phase, a community survey was created to asses awareness of and support for a museum. Future projects will focus on support for the museum initiative and creating authentic points of...
